Continuing the trend of southern churches burned by Union troops, Darien Methodist Church in coastal Georgia was another victim in 1863.  It rebuilt and was destroyed again in 1881 by a hurricane.  This current building was built in 1883.  It’s located on the same small square as St. Andrews Episcopal Church featured in an earlier post.
