Benevolence Baptist Church, Benevolence, Georgia (Randolph County), built 1906

Benevolence Baptist Church is at an intersection in Benevolence, Georgia.  The church was founded in 1831 and this building was built sometime around 1906.  An interesting feature of this Victorian and Carpenter Gothic architecture is the ornate corner steeple.   Across the road is a medium-sized cemetery.  The church was locked up the afternoon I drove by so I didn’t get any photographs of the interior.

  1. This blog is wonderful. Take a look at Punch TV Studios, I believe you should think about. The history of the church is slowly being lost, one of the core missions of Punch TV Studios is to record the church events so that no matter what, history will never be forgotten. Becoming a stockholder will help Punch TV Studios make that mission from God a reality, and go from trying to save the history to keeping it alive. Faith and morals are hard to come by, however Punch TV Studios is based on those concepts. Church is a guide for many people, but if the heritage gets lost where will we be? Punch TV’s feelings towards saving the church is extremely strong. I’m sure no one wants their church’s history to be lost over time, so contact PunchTV Studios to be a part of the church rebuilding legacy and bring your church to the threshold of the future of Christianity.
