Arena, North Dakota is now a ghost town in the northern part of the state. This once was St. John’s Lutheran Church, but is now abandoned. I don’t expect this church to last much longer though. Walking around the church, most of the foundation is gone and you can see into the basement level. There’s an obvious lean in addition, so the weight of some more heavy snowfalls might speed up the inevitable collapse. But for now, you can still enjoy the wind whistling around this peaceful spot.
